CREST syndrome

My mother was diagnosed with CREST syndrome ~10 months ago.  She has developed pulmonary hypertension as a result of this. Most information I was able to read about CREST talked about its slow progress and generally more benign outcome(than full blown scleroderma). Is this still the case since she has developed pulmonary hypertension?  Lasix has not helped and she really is fatigued.  She would like to know if she can hope to feel better.  She is being referrred to Cleveland for possible treatment with prostacyclin.  Any info you can provide would be most appreciated.
