CRP/ESR

Hi - I've been going to Doctors & specialists & having tests now for 18 months.  Over that time, my ESR has ranged from 38 to 48 and my CRP has ranged from 13 to 25.  I have had a colonoscopy, an Endoscopy, several other blood tests and an MRi all with nothing obvious resulting.  My levels continue to increase, yet Doctors and Specialist here are running out of ideas.

Should I be concerned?

Thanks
PinCushion!

CRP & ESR

CRP: C-Reactive Protein
ESR: Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate

These 2 laboratory tests are a marker of inflammation in people.
CRP has been shown to be a risk factor for heart disease. ESR is elevated in conditions that cause inflammation. There is no specific condition about which you should be concerned. However, I would recommend having your blood pressure and cholesterol measured along with trying to obtain exercise on a regular basis.

Thanks for your question,
