First of all thanks to all who replied to my question about questions !
Guess none of us are getting all the answers we need from our Cardiologists!  Oh well, to know we are not alone with these problems is pretty good.

jokerofspades.  You are almost the first person I have heard of to have a CT angiography.  I asked my Dr. for one and he said it's better to have an actual Angiogram.  (I suspect because there may not be a CT or a
competent reader of same here! ) It seems like most of us have problems  with the RCA.  How is the score of 11 rated?  What will Dr.
do for you?  Sounds like a pretty reasonable score. But what do I know!

By the way, I am trying to get a handle on the differences between
Plaque and Cholesterol, and Plaque and Calcium. Think about it, we
are given Calcium Channel blockers for our arteries, but if calcium is
plaque what is cholesterol??????  Can anyone set me straight on this.?
ALSO it seems that Stress is the biggest factor in heart disease. Not
surprising considering the mess this world is in right now !!!! Most of us
have lost at least a good proportion of our savings, so not surprising we
we are stressed!!

I am fortunate to work at one of the best heart hospitals in the country, and definitly in my region of the country. We have had the CT Angiography for about a year here, the problem is that insurance refuse to cover the test, even though you get the same results from an invasive angiogram.

I paid $100 for the test, which is a bargain because the test is about $500.00. The hospital offers it at that price so people will get it done and we can show the insurance companies that the test can be a great alternative.
