CT TEST FOR CALCIFICATION

by Mike501, Dec 07, 1999 12:00AM
I recently undergone a CT TEST for calcification.
It turned out that I have Mean CT Density of 141 Hounsfield
units or 0.0139 (cc) Calcium Volume in my circumflex artery.
It places me in the 84 percentile rank.My question is
can this be causing arrythmia and ST-T abnormailities on my ECG.
Thanks
Michael

Dear Michael,

the calcium will not cuase this but the underlying coronary disease that this may represent may cause this.  I would suggest a stress test to clarify the funcitonal significance of this finding.
