Calcification in abdominal aorta and other general heart questions

Hi, about 2 years ago I was told after a spinal x-ray that I had an abdominal aortic calcification (small one) and this was later confirmed with an ultrasound of my aorta.  Had many heart related tests since i.e. stress echo, thallium test, and most recently a holter monitor for the ever so fun palpitations I've recently been experiencing.  I'm 42, smoke cigarettes, eat fairly well, but am rather inactive since the injury 2 years ago, dad died at 46 from heart attack (not sure if it was an abdominal aortic issue but some relatives vaguely recall something to that effect).  After reading much about this on the internet (which can be evil lol), I've read that calcifications are predictive of future heart problems etc.  My doctor has told me this is not the case and that a mild calcification like I have is nothing to be concerned about.

1) What is the connection if any and should I be worried or monitored for this?
2) Can vitamin k mk-7 dissolve calcifications as the Framingham heart study states, and is it safer to attempt to dissolve these vs. leave them alone?
3) Do calcifications pre-empt or increase the likelihood of aortic aneurysms?

Sorry if these questions seem silly to a cardiologist but I actually do worry about these things =(  Thank you in advance for any answers to these!
