Can Buspar Cause Increase in Blood Pressure?

I currently take 240 mg of Verapamil daily as well as 25 mg of Losartan Potassium for Hypertension.  My blood pressure readings have been excellent for a long while now, i.e. 110/70, 120/80.  I had my blood pressure taken today (last time taken was a few weeks ago), and it was much higher than usual: 150/86 (from my internist's visit), and 150/90 at an allergist's office a bit earlier in the day.  I was not feeling particularly stressed out to cause this rise in BP.  I have been dealing with a strep infection in my navel.  I just completed a two week regimen of Amoxicillin.  The infection had spread from the navel all over my abdomen, up my chest, and around my hips/back.  My asked my internist if I still have an infection, could that cause my BP to rise?  It's also been VERY hot and humid lately.  I asked if that could cause a rise in my BP.  Lastly, I asked him if Buspar could cause a BP rise, since this is the only new medicine I have been taking.  He didn't seem to feel that Buspar could cause this, but he wasn't 100 percent sure either.  Any thoughts on this?  Thanks so much.

I forgot to mention that my internist said an infection, as well as the heat/humidity could cause my BP to rise.  Another BP reading at the allergists showed 150/101.  I'm still wondering about Buspar's part in this.  I take 15 mg of generic Buspar twice a day.  Thanks, again.
