Can heart stents move?
I had a widow maker heart attack 1 year ago. I have 2 stents. I am now having kidney pain, with no sign of infection or stones. I am wondering about the stents. Could they have moved?
If so what signs do you look for?

No. Your artery lining will grow new cells through the mesh of the stent. My stents are very hard to spot on an angiogram now.

Hi there, Foggy64

Just confirming what "ED34" said:  stents can not move around and your body will "invite" the foreign object at some stage.

The kidney pains (if you have had a UTI urine-check and it was normal) can most probably be IBS or constipation.

Try my theory by taking something like "Norvacol" or a laxative and if the pains persist after you have had a good bowel movement/s, then you can get sonar/scan of your Kidneys at some stage.

All the best and let us know how you are doing and if it is better :)

So the stents are not to blame, but what medication are you on? Some of them will cause kidney problems. Been there, done that.

All meds carry side effects, so I would consult with your Doctor to change brands of one at a time to see if the symptoms go away.
