Can someone help

by meparry, Jan 11, 2008 08:33AM
I am looking for help (including pointers to other forums) where people can share their experiences about this disease. I would like to hear of/from people who have stabilised their condition through nutrition, life-style etc as this is a difficult disease and my mother has calcium build-up in the arteries leading to her brain and elsewhere yet her cholesterol  levels are fine. She has high blood pressure which she is taking statins for. The plaque is mainly calcium and although she has just begun taking vit K2 is scared that the plaque will flake off and cause a clot .....

Many thanks for your help!

She is taking statins for high BP?  I thought statins are for high cholesterol.
