Can the heart feel sore?

Had a heart attack in Jan with stents in LAD. Chest pains radiating to the left shoulder and jaw returned - had another heart cath - all is ok. Since Jan I've been having pain deep inside the chest slightly to the left of the sternum. The pain comes and goes lasting about a couple of minutes. The pain feels like a 4" tube of pain.

This pain has never left me since the MI in Jan. The cardio just says my heart and the arteries are fine. My EF is up from 35 to 55, I exercise 30 mins every day. The pain is deep inside, and altho I don't know the exact location of the heart, it feels like the pain is on the surface or inside the heart.

Can a stent cause pain? Can the heart feel sore?

Your artery could be spasming, which would cause pain.  If it comes and goes, I would think it would be spasming as if it were from the stent it most likely would be constant.  Never heard of stents causing pain, unless there is something wrong with the stent placement.

Thanks for the info - not sure what to do is this something I have now live with? The spasming artery.
