kayl,
Sorry to read of your ordeal.
The AV node ablation and pacemaker dependence do not alter the ability of a surgeon to perform an aortic valve replacement. It would be unlikely that the valve will be repairable -- rheumatic aortic valves are not often repairable.
The timing of surgery depends on factors that you have not provided, most importantly the heart function and size parameters.
Given that the next open heart surgery for you would be your third, I would strongly recommend that you come to the Cleveland Clinic for an opinion. There are only a handful of surgical teams in the world that specialize in re-do valve surgeries, and none do them better than here.
Good luck.
i am awaiting the 3rd open heart surgery. i am 56 years old, female. my email is ***@****
