I am a 29 Yo male who has a problem with his bowel. To the point that I must take a suppository to pass anything. Since I have been doing this (for a year or so) I have had other problems. Irregular heart beat, anxiety, chest pains, bad gastro pains. Could the long use of suppositories be causing this. I have tried to fix my diet, I exercise regularly and am not overweight.
Don't know about the sideeffects of your suppositories but can certainly empathize with your problems. Jan. 2000 my hubby had a heart attack and they put him on a stool softener in the hospital to keep him from straining. (He had had a problem and was faithfully taking Metamucil for years but that seemed to just plug up the system.) Well, this worked so well for him I began to take them for the severe constipation I experienced because of my hypothyroidism and I can't say enough about the results I have had. These pills found over the counter are not a laxative , although you can also find them in a combination form. This must be a popular solution because many times they have been sold out. Something for you to consider. Barb
