Sounds like some kind of virus to me. There are so many out there. If you're vomiting or have diarrhea please be careful about becoming dehydrated. For most intestinal viruses you can use the BRAT diet - that's bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Push clear fluids as much as you can. No tea or coffee or sodas since many of those have caffeine and act as a diuretic which will dry you out even more. If you feel you're getting worse, see the doctor. Remember the holiday is coming up and most offices will be closed.
Hmm, well I wrote a response then hit the wrong button.
I don't know if it's contagious because you don't know for sure what you have. Some viruses are more contagious than others. It depends on how it's shed. Cold viruses for example can be spread by sneezing. If it goes fecal/oral route then it's not so likely as long as you wash your hands after using the bathroom. A temp over 103 is a bit high for an adult. Again, if you don't feel better real soon or if you think you're getting worse, see a doctor. Especially if you develop any kind of rash. Many clinics have an advice nurse available to take phone calls. Perhaps you can do that. Hope you feel better soon.
