Cardia Ablation

Cardia Ablation

Hi all,

I had an ablation done on Aug 19th.  All was going great but 2 weeks later I went into Sinus Tachycardia and have not been the same since.  Every time I move around, my chest feels heavy and I get chest pains.  It sounds like other peope have experienced this too.   I was active and now I can't do anything!  Any advice anyone could give would be great.  Just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and if so, how long did it last?

Thanks!

Hi, Leisha...sounds like a completely normal course of events to me.  Your heart has to have time to heal after being irritated by the ablation.  I had one a year ago for afib and had a terrible time with afib for about three months afterwards.  Then the afib traded off for Sinus Tachycardia and I'm still having a few of those short episodes.  I take 1 25mg ToprolXL and that usually gets things slowed and settled down.  Just try to relax and know that things will settle down and get better.
