Cardiac problems verses hypertention in lungs

Cardiac problems verses hypertention in lungs

I have 2 different Doctor's that ordered echos.  First one on 6/7/11 stated I had a VSD and that I had had it since birth.  Also had a percardial effusion for 2 years (small amount) with mild mitral reguritation, moderate tricuspid reguritation and tirvial pulmonic reguritation.  I went for a 2nd opinion because the first Doctor wanted to do a catherization on vein to check for hypertension.

The 2nd Doctor (both were Cardiologist), stated I have no decrete regional wall motion abnormalities but diastolic dysfunction caused by left ventricular filling pattern due to a relaxation abnormality.  It also stated I did have the 3 reguritations, with a moderate reguritation of tricusbid, but also a mild pulmonary hypertension with a pulmonary artery systolic pressure of 37 mmHg.  My left ventricle ejection fraction was 60 to 65%.

I do not know what to do and I do not know even what I have.  The 2nd Doctor said he would see me in 6 months.  I do not know what is causing the pulmonary hypertension.  I do not know for a person, women, age 63, what is normal to find on an echo and what is abnormal to find for a person of my age.  Coud this be related to sleep apnea for which I have never had checked out or from chemo or from VSD?

Please advise of your opinion.  Thank you kindly.

As to the cardiac problems verses hypertention in lungs, I forgot to say that I am 63 years old and have had breast cancer twice.  At age 33 right side mastecomy and then at age 52 left side mastectomy with chemo therapy and no radiation.  I took Adrimycin and Cytoxin for 3months and then Taxol for 3 months.

I thought this may help with understanding of cardiac verses hypertention in lungs question.
