Cardiolite Stress Test

by Horsegal, Mar 29, 2007 12:00AM
How accurate is having a Cardiolite Stress Test done in determining if you have a clogged artery.  Are there any other reasons for having a heart attack then a clogged artery?

I had a nuclear stress test recently and was told it was 85% accurate in identifying a blockage.  However, there is about a 10% probability of a false positive (i.e., detecting a blockage that isn't really there).

My understanding if that it provides an excellent view of heart function and circulation.  I had this test myself and felt very confident in the results.  I did a lot of reading on it :)
