Cardiomegaly
My husband aged 56 died from Cardiomegaly in Dec 2013.
I have read up on just about every topic I can find.
I just want to know if he suffered or if it was too quick for him to even know what was going on.
I found him that morning in our hall
Any information would be helpful even if it's not what I would like to hear.

I'm sorry for your loss. This is a tough question to answer, but I can give you some information that may shed some insight into what may have happened. When I hear the term "cardiomegaly" I think of an elnarged and weakened heart muscle. A very real risk in these patients are abnormal heart rhythms that can be dfealy (called ventricular tachycardia). This can be quite common, and the reason why patients get ICD's.
