Cardiomegaly

Hello,

I am a 32 year old woman who just had a chest exray and EKG.  The EKG came back boderline abnormal and the chest xray showed cardiomegaly.  I have a resting pulse of 116 and blood pressure of 150/102.  I am on Vytorin, Lipoprin,Verapamil, and Dyazide. I am having a cardiac stress test next week. With my pulse of 116 resting I am scared to death to have this treadmill test isnt it dangerous?  Should I be worried? Thank you.

HI I CAN UNDERSTAND THE STRESS THAT YOU MUST BE UNDR AND THE WORRY ABOUT THE TEST AS I AM SCARED ABOUT THE TESTS THAT I HAVE HAD AND YET TO HAVE. REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE ALL WELL TRAINED AND WOULD STOP THE  TEST BEFORE ANY HARM WOULD COME TO YOU AND THAT THEY ARE EQUIPPED TO DEAL WITH ANY EMERGENCIES. BY HAVIING THE TEST YOU WILL GIVE THE DR THE BEST CHANCE TO LOOK AT YOUR CASE AND PLAN A COURSE OF TREATMENT SUITED TO YOUR CASE.
