When the doctor told us of this diagnosis (after a heart cath was performed during which the doctor proclaimed that the arteries were in great shape), my son-in-law's parents informed the doctor of a past thyroid problem with their daughter. I'm curious as to whether there could have possibly been a misdiagnosis based upon this new bit of information - possible Thyroid problems. I understand from quite a bit of research that I have done that some thyroid problems can have similar if not the same symptoms as Cardiomyopathy. By-the-way, the doctor is now having his thyroid checked.
