Cardiomyopathy or LVH

by LukeL, Feb 07, 2008 02:22AM
My echo report indicated mild to moderate LVH everything else was normal or only trivial abnormaliies or valve problems. Does anyone know if a wall thickness of 12-14mm would qualify for HCM or not. I am quite a small person so I am somewhat concerned. No one in my family has ever had any heart troubles before the age of 75 and then it is only systemic organ failure.

Normal dimension for interventricular septal thickness (IVS) and left ventricular posterior wall (LVPW) is 0.6-1.1 cm or 6-11 mm according to my echo report.  My measurement is 1.1 cm.
