Carotid artery occlusion and high altitude exposure

I had my carotid artery occluded with coil after the discovery of two aneurysms. I am planning a trip to Yosemite and would like to know if the high altitude presents any danger for me. I had the occlusion performed in 1998.

Your body has likely adapted well to the carotid occlusion by now.  You should be at no increased risk at higher altitudes.  If you start to feel symptoms such as lightheadedness, extreme fatigue, dyspnea, severe headaches, confusion you should seek medical attention.  Otherwise enjoy the trip!
