Thank you for replying to my question. I talked to a friend of mine since I posted the question and she told me the same thing. She also said she has some blockagePeripheral artery disease, but her doctor wasn't too concerned because he told her that it takes YEARS for the blockagePeripheral artery disease to get any worse. I guess I worried over nothing. She said if it's REALLY blockedBlocked tear duct than they will do surgery, but she thinks I am not quite at that stage yet (if there is any blockagePeripheral artery disease).
The reason for the lines are for measuring the vessels. The ultrasound pictures are then evaluated by a radiologist who will flag those that need immediate followup. I had a bilateral carotid ultrasound last month and asked those very questions. The best thing to do is try not to worry and wait for your Dr to call. You can always give them a call if your too worried.
Thanks again :)
