Hello,
I am scheduled to undergo a cath on Tuesday. As a prelimnary test the cardiologist did an echo. This showed I have two "leaky"
valvesHeart valves
Heart valves - anterior view
Heart valves - superior view (
mitralMitral regurgitation - chronic
Mitral stenosis
Mitral valve prolapse and
tricuspidTricuspid atresia), a slightly stenotic aorta, and the pumonary artery had a high
pressurePressure ulcer. The cardiologist wanted to proceed with the cath due to the above, the chest pain that I was having, an "abnormal
EKGAtrioventricular block, ekg tracing
Ecg
Exercise stress test" at rest and my number of risk
factorsFactor ix complex. (Age 49, Hypetension, overweight, sedentary lifestyle, family history) My question is this--What are the probablities that they will find CAD? I know this answer is will not be an absolute and it does depend on the actual cath. I feel that if I know alittle ahead of time what to expect as results I can prepare emotionally. Thanks
