Causes of enlarged right side of heart

I was recently diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.  I have had symptoms of a resting heart rate of 99-140, chest and back pain - sharp and squeezing pressure, pressure in my chest, back and left arm, migraines, dizziness, fainting, large dips in blood pressure, nausea, sweating, and shortness of breath.  I am on disopyramide 300 mg per day and still symptomatic.  I had 3 echos done and 3 xrays to confirm.  I collapsed at work and was sent to the heart hospital and had a heart cath done and my cardiologist said that I did NOT have HOCM as orginally thought as the "structure" of my heart was ok.  My heart is enlarged though so what does that mean?  What else can cause the left side of my heart to enlarge like that?  I have no blockages and my cholesterol is fine. Any ideas??

The left side of the heart can enlarged due to an abnormal increase the heart's workload such as increased resistance due to vessel stenosis (narrowing).  Large dips in bp could stres the heart.  Shortness of breath could be a respriatory problem stressing the heart.  There could be a neurological problem.uerrological n
