Chemical stress test negative

On April 3 I experienced classic cardiac symptoms, elephant on the chest, sob, sweating, left arm went numb and had no use of the left hand this radiated to the left side of the neck. Extreme nausea. x30min. I sought medical intervention. The paramedics noted st elevation. Gave nitro which had no effect. Oxygen given via nonrebreather. IV transported at the hospital the ER physician saw no elevations. Administered ativan for pain and to relax me along with an anti nausea med. I was admitted to progressive care overnight. I have MS so i was given a chemical stress test. It was negative as were my triponines x3. My father and grandfather both hand stress tests that were negative my grandfather died of a heart attack and my father has 5 stints. I am 48 hx of hypertension and while in the hospital my tryglcerides were 1322. Do I need to push the doc's for a cath? I am symptom free at the moment with gerd from the MS meds.

Is the number 1322 correct for your triglycerides?!?!?  If it is I would definetly push for the heart cath.  I had the same symptoms on March 17, except the nausea, had cardiac workups and they sent me home.  I had a stress echo done on Wednesday which was normal.  My dr. is thinking it is related to my hiatal hernia/GERD.  I see that you have GERD, did they mention that maybe that is a problem?  Good luck to you.
