Chest Pain, Need Help

I am a 20 year old female. For the past 3 days, I have been experiencing this weird chest pain. It is localized only to one spot and if I touch it or aggravate it enough the pain will get worse. The pain also worsens when I'm wearing a bra sometimes. The sensitive area is right under the left breast. Yesterday morning, when I woke up I had the sensation and it felt as if I was having a panic attack. Yesterday as I was working, the pain did disappear but when I came home last night and ate something, the discomfort returned and when I wake up, I still have it. Also, the pain lasts all day and not for a few seconds or minutes but has gotten better as the day progresses. The pain also started as my menstrual cycle was finished. My period is done now but I am still left with this feeling. The pain does radiate to my left shoulder, especially when i'm carrying my backpack heading to class. I'm scared that I may be having a heart attack or some kind of heart condition. Can anyone help me?

These symptoms could be many things of course. Is there a nurse at the school who could advise you or take your blood pressure? It does seem unlikely that someone your age could be having heart trouble but it should be ruled out by a professional.

Chest discomfort from heart-related problems as a rule of thumb are not localized, and if one touches the area of discomfort with a heart related problem, it won't affect the pain at all.  In my case and with all I know who have had heart-related discomfort, it's more of a heavy pressure.  I agree with jimbeau, you should have it checked out.
