Chest Pain causes

In March 2008 I thought I was having a heart attack and after a trip to the E/R the EKG, Blood work and chest x-rays were all normal. After a follow up with a doctor I was put on high blood pressure medicine. I once again had a pain under my left nipple area and since the doctors office didn't think this was a side effect of the new BP medicine they suggested I go to the E/R. Once again the EKG, blood work and chest x-rays were normal.
After this E/R trip I had the stress/echo test and it was normal too. My BP medicine was changed too to Diovan 80mg. This stress test was done in July 2008. I've been fine on the B/P medicine except with an occassional back pain or two.
Yeasterday and today I've had some pain in my upper left and right chest area at different times and not lasting long. The pain is not bad and it doesn't last long and it is usually accompanied with belching or gas.
I also have a history of asthma too.
Any idea of what might be causing this pain since initial test seem to rule out cardiac problems. No one in my family has a history of cardiac problems either.

I guess maybe it could be that.

Maybe it's your gallbladder.  Have you had an ultrasound of your gallbladder?  I would start there or it could be acid reflex.  Start with your gallbladder and then have the doctor check your stomach.  My grandmother had severe chest pain one night and thought she was having a heart attack.  When she arrived at the hospital, they said that they were going down her stomach to have a look.  Sure enough, she had a stomach tumor, benign and the doctors said that she had it for years and did not have any symptoms until that one night.
