Chest Pains and Skipped Heart Beats

I am a 23 year old male who has been having chest pains and irregular heartbeats since I was 16. I was very active in high school as I was on both the football team and the lacross team. I have been to several different doctors and have had a full battery of tests performed on me including EKG's and stress tests. The results of all of these tests have been negative, yet I continue to experince discomfort in my chest. The sensation I feel in the chest area are like tiny needles poking their way through my heart muscle. At the same time I also can experience irregular heartbeats. I tend to get some relief when I lie down on my back. While the many doctors I have seen keep telling me that I don't have any serious life-threatening disease and pass it off as stress, I feel like there is more to the problem that I am not being told and maybe that's the problem in the first place. The chest pains and irregular heartbeats are really beginning to scare me since they have been going on for several years with no relief in sight. Does anyone have any suggestions or are there any doctors that can provide me with some help or information about my situation? Thank you so much for your time.
