Chest Pains

Chest Pains

4 years ago I was diagnosed with heart failure, Dystloic Disfunction?? I am a 48 year old female. 5'2" , 165 pounds. My colesterol is 378 and I am on crestor. 3 weeks ago I had terrible chest pains and flutters that I had felt before but there were more of them.  My heart rate is always  over 100.  I recently had a stress test and the nurse asked had I ever had anyone to tell me that I have been throwing pvc's. I answered no. But I was told that it was nothing to worry about. I have called for my results but have not received them yet. I have had a life style change with diet and excercise. However I can't help feeling that my time for living will be much much shorter. Is this right to feel this way or is the constant flutters and chest pains that are doing that?  I also have fibromalgia, back pain, etc.  I work 40+ hours per week. My family doesn't agree with me working. Am I hurting myself by trying to ignore the pains, exhaustion just to stay active.

Have you had chest pains after from recent tests?  If so, you better go to your doctor and have an EKG done to see if there is a change.  Chest pain is classic symptoms of heart attack and they don't even have to be that bad to have had a small heart attack.  Need to find out if there is any heart damage present.  There could be blocked arteries.  Are you only on Crestor or are you taking more heart medication?  You should not be pushing yourself.  If you feel tired you should rest. Your cholesterol needs to come down to the LDL being no more than 100 and HDL should be in the 50's if you can get it there.  I would seriously look at your diet.  Be strict. If you give up red meat, your cholesterol will drop (LDL).  Eat organic fruit and vegetables lots of them.  Brown rice is good and if you do not like it mix it with white rice.  Salmon is excellent for the heart with Omega 3.  Nuts are good for the heart unsalted (almonds, walnuts).  In summary you need to check with your doctor regarding further testing, watch your diet, and rest when your body tells you.
