Chest discomfort and heart problems?

by leealee, Jan 31, 2007 12:00AM
Hello, I'm a 21 year old male. Recently I have felt like something is wrong with my heart. I feel palpitations and or skipping beats. Also, I kind of feel uncomfortable in my chest area sometimes. I've had the following tests done: chest x-ray, echo, blood tests, heart monitor, physical exams, and an EKG. The only thing they said that was wrong was sinus arrhythmia which was normal they said. I was wondering why I might feel like something is wrong with my heart and are these tests enough? Also, I have high stress and anxiety now that I feel something is wrong with my heart. Can stress and anxiety cause skipping beats and palpitations? Are these tests that I've had enough to say my heart is allright? Lastly, I'm always worrying about my heart now and my mind is always on it, so please help me!

I'm as well a 21 year old male. I have this pain in  my heart. My heartbeats are intense, as if exersing. I can feel it all day long. I feel uncomfortable and It makes me impatient. It disrupts my studies. Doctors say it's not dangerous but I don't believe that. It keeps getting worse. My stress and anxiety levels are also high. I want to know if It can be healed. Help! My nickname is Sibzer.

Please don't take this as a joke.

Obtain a trial Rx for Xanax or Valium, and see if your symtoms stop. The drugs are not meant for mainteneance treatment rather merely to determine if your brain is initiating the problem. A malfunctioning heart does not respond to benzodiazpines therefore you may gain assurance that your heart is OK.
