Chest discomfort

by chestguest, Feb 22, 2008 12:13AM
hi,
I am a 34 year old male. I am having chest discomfort, actually more like upper back discomfort, it started about 2 month ago, it's never any pain, just discomfort at the center of my upper back, it also spread to rest of the back as well. the second symptoms is dizziness, i felt it whole day long. Sometimes i have trouble talking as well. I checked the website and seem like i have most symptoms of a heart attack...

1)Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes. Except,
-I have no pain and the symptoms last whole day long for 2 month already instead of few minutes.

2)Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. The pain may be mild to intense. It may feel like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders.
-NO pain, just discomfort

3)Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
-I have all of the above except shortness of breath and fainting

4)I have tingling feeling around my chest, neck, upper back and shoulders

Here is what I have done so far.

-Stress Echo - Everything came back normal (Done a month ago)

-Endoscopy - Everything came back normal (Done a month ago)

-Chest X-Ray for Lung - Everything is normal (Done a month ago)

-Nuclear Stress test - Everything came back normal (Done a year ago)

I smoke half pack a day, and have Cholesterol of 211 with 132 LDL Chol,

What should i do next? CT or MRI of the heart? See a Neurologist for my dizziness?

Thanks for any help.

You sound a lot like the problems I was having. I just put up a post today "MIDCAB". I also smoked a half a pack a day. I had the ct and it found the problem.
