Chest pain -- Thalium stress test normal

I have had two episodes of chest pain in the last 6 months.  The first time it occurred, my doctor told me to let him know if it happened again.  It occurred again a week ago Friday, and I had a thalium treadmill stress test on Tuesday of last weekwhich showed everything completely normal.  I'm wondering, therefore, what could have caused the angina attacks?  My doctor suggested muscle spasm or even an esophogeal reflux, but it felt like neither of those.

hi, it could be anxiety. pac/pve extra heart beats , stress/  muscles, there are many things that can cause your chest pains and it not be your heart . congrats on the normal test thats enought to make me happy

Thanks very much for the response.  And you're so right -- I was really happy to have received the news that my stress test results were completely normal!

I should have also mentioned that the chest pain lasted about 2-3 minutes, and radiated up to my right jaw.
