Childs Heart Beat

My Daughter has allergies. No other medical issues. She is 6 and thinks her heart beats way to fast and hard. I did ask the doctor a few mounths ago is it sounded fine because she has just mentioned this issue. In the last two days she has complained of this several times. It is beating hard where you can see it. This is times of rest. She is very active in sports but has not complained at these times. we are going back to the docotor asap but my question is, Could this bother to her be a real concern even if the doc says it sounds fine. Do I need to persue this concern?? She was complaining of being short of breath for our last visit but has no wheezing so her allergy meds are enough. Again the shortness of breath is at rest. Adult Heart deseise is very common in my familly. She doesnt know that though! Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, it is impossible to make a diagnosis or give recommendations over the internet without a complete history and physical examination. However, having shortness of breath (or dyspnea) at rest is never a normal finding. If truly concerned, I would have her evaluated by a licensed physician for further evaluation and to make sure there is not an underlying condition with her heart or lungs that needs to be addressed.
