Cholesterol question

Posted by SherryB on May 12, 1999 at 10:26:59
Hi,
I'm one of the , hopefully, "worried well" -- I've posted here before about my  VERY frightening palpitations, especially the runs of them, and received very helpful, supportive and reassuring information. Thanks. As I've noted in my earlier posts, MULTIPLE holters, stress tests and echos have shown no heart disease and just pvcs ( sometimes in runs of 3s) and pacs. My cardiologist says my heart is fine.
Anyway, it has been a long time since i had a complete blood lipid
profile done.. I was due for an annual with my GP and she did a fasting cholesterol/triclyceride level.  She called and left the message that the results were "Remarkable!" She sounded happy, so
I'm assuming they are good. They sound good to me. I don't know HOW remarkable they are -- i'm sure she wants me to stop worrying about my heart.
Anyway.. here are the results:
Total cholesterol -- 176
the "good" cholesterol -- 100 (!)
Triclycerides --  52
she said soemthing about a risk 2:32 that was very good...
thanks so much for any feedback.
