Chronic Constant Chest burning pain

I have had a severe constant burning pain in the left side of my chest its not like heartburn at all (front about a inch in from the center) for 14 mths now, I have had all heart tests done by a cardiologist (echo, nuc stress test, cariac cath) it showed Mild Mitral Valve Prolapsi, and ct scan of chest and lungs everything has checked out ok..CRP blood test showed high level of inflammation,.The burning, sensation in my chest never goes away and it is so intense,  the Gastro Dr said he wanted x-ray of my thoracic spine before he did a endoscopy because my symptoms did not seem gastric to him, had another chest x ray, MRI of thoracic spine, ct of chest again, Nothing....the burning, pain, heart feelin like it is thrusting through my chest just a horrible feeling it is so hard to explain,, Tried the Chiro she didnt help at all ten mths later still in severe pain. Has anyone  ever felt this before?? If so please shed some light on this it is making me crazy I am at my wits end...

Thanks for your question regarding your difficultly with chronic constant burning chest pain. It sounds as if this puzzling pain is not cardiac, given the description and thorough negative cardiac workup. Since this pain has been constant for many months, it is important to consider a long list of possible causes. Your gastroenterologist's plan to obtain additional imaging of your chest is a reasonable idea. The pain may be muscular, related to your bones, or originating in the nerves themselves.

Q:..CRP blood test showed high level of inflammation.

>>What is the diagnosis for the inflammation?
Inflammation can be of the pleura (the lining between the lungs and the chest wall), or of the chest wall muscles themselves. There could be inflammation of the cartilage of the breast cage joints, etc. You doctor should be able to focus on the inflammation from high CRP and the chest discomfort...it is unlikely the two symptoms are not related, but it should be ruled out.

Thanks for sharing and if you have any further questions or comments you are welcome to respond.  take care,

Ken

Thanks for the responses, there was no diagnosis about CRP blood work coming back showing high levels of inflammation, the Dr I went to at that time was horrible and I wont be going back to her. I went back to my original Dr and they want me to see a Pain Specialist. I am having a real difficult time with this the burning in the left of my chest is so severe that I dont know what to do anymore, I have no insurance so I have been suffering terribly as this pain is constant never stopping, my energy level is down and I am not sleeping at night I just pray someone out there one day can help me.
