Cisapride level and duration

Hello, A couple of questions
Being on cisapride for two years without incident then taking Biaxin  which triggered paroxysmal Afib the first day and remained on the Biaxin for one week, then remained on 40 mg 4 times daily  of cisapride for another year. During this last year and continuing after the cisapride was stopped intermittant Paroxysmal Afib continued.  Would the large amount of cisapride taken after the Biaxin set a "pattern" of Afib with the heart?  Is there anything that can be done to break this Pattern?
