I would appreciate it if someone would explain to me the meaning of " Complete Heart Block" Thank You very much, Karen

Dear Karen,
CHB or complete heart block means that the heart beat that originates in the sinus node (found in the upper chambers of the heart) does not get transmitted to through the AV node to the ventricles (lower and main pumping chambers.)
The lower chambers therefore rely on their intrinsic rhythm to beat and at best this rate is 45 bpm and certainly not enough to allow for exertion, sometimes it is so slow that the person can not even stand!
