I had a cardiac cath 1 year ago for a questionable stress test, through my right groin. My results were negative. However, I have had increasing pain at the site and down the inner part of my right leg. Kind of an ever present aching. Nothing that makes me feel like there is an infection there. Just discomfort, like something is stuck there.
The doctor used one of those "plugs" Have you heard of any complications related to this? Is it possible for that plug to dislodge or cause damage of some kind?

Sorry to read of your trouble.
I have never seen this type of problem. However, there are case reports of patients having inadvertent nerve damage from arm blood draws (usually leading to long-lasting discomfort as you are describing). Several nerve branches are in the area of the groin stick used for the cath, so it is certainly conceivable that a person could experience nerve trauma from the cath stick.
