Was very tachy they gave me ativan, heprin, had echo and cath ,cath showed 40% rca,and 10% lad occlusion with mild concentric hypertrophy and mild left atrial enlargement, ejection fraction 65.after all this doc tells me I did not have a heart attack but I had a spasm.i was released from hospital after 4 days put on toprol, lisinipril, and lipitor, only have to go back to cardio for blood work, but even though I havnt had any more pain I feel like a walkink time bomb can a spasm really do this and what causes them ,thank you for any help god bless

Firstly, congratulations on doing the most important thing you can do for your health - quitting smoking.
An ECG automated report is generally overread by a physician such as a cardiologist before a final ECG report is issued. Sometimes even an expert review of an ECG may be inconclusive and it is necessary to proceed to further tests such as a cardiac cath. I'm glad your tests did not show a heart attack. Other events, such as coronary spasm, can cause this kind of pain. The priority now is preventing a heart attack - and this includes remaining an ex-smoker first and foremost, implementing a healthy diet, regular exercise, and certain medications such as those you are on.
Congratulations on quitting smoking and keep up the good work!
