Congenital Heart Disease

What is the average life expectancy of a child with TGA, VSD, and Pulmonic Stenosis who has had a Rasetlli Procedure and has no other physical or mental abnormalities?
Are there any physical limitations after the procedure?

What should their oxygen saturations be after surgery?

Dear Kristi,
The Rasetlli procedure corrects transposition of the great vessels (TGA), ventricular septal defect (VSD) and pulmonic stenosis with closure of the VSD and bypass tracts from the ventricles to the pulomary artery and aorta.  In general the outcome is good and there should be no serious physical limitations.  You need to discuss specific outcomes and restrictions with your child's cardiologist.  Hope this information helps.
