Dear Bev,
I think I know what these abbreviations stand for.  They are probably as follows: MR-Mitral Regurgitation, nl-normal, LA-left Atrium, LV-left ventricle, c/w-consistant with, and pfo-patent foreman ovale.  These are a layman's thoughts picked up from reading other posts on this site.  I am interested in the Doc's response also.
Sincerely,
Ginny

MR - mitral regurgitation; LA - left atrium; LV - left ventricle; pfo - patent foramen ovale.  Your doctor can explain the clinical significance of these findings.
