Please give your opinion of the value of this test.

Dear woody,
It is my opinion, and the opinion of the cardiac imaging team here at the
Cleveland Clinic Foundation that this scan for calcium in the  coronary arteries
is non-reproducible and therefore unreliable.  There are many other techniques
in cardiology and imaging that are far superior than this test at assessing the
risk of coronary artery disease, as well they have been proven time and time
again in the literature to be reproducible and therefore reliable.
