Coronary Calcium score of 1793-Diabetic 42 years

I am 48 and have been a diabetic since age 6. I am on an insulin pump, I eat healthy but not always. I eat fresh ground flaxseed, I take fish oil, I eat whole grains, no meat and lots of fiber. I drink a glass of red wine every day. I take 1 red yeast vitamin along with alpha lipoic. I was up at this high score, I am shocked. I go see my Endo next week he ordered it along with blood work. My c Reactive was low, my hdl is 55, my ldl is 100 (I know bad) it went up 20 points since October (but I stopped taking the red yeast just to see if it was or was not helping me) and my total chol is 165. I had the ldl particle test done and that was good, I had fluffy ones so to speak. My blood pressure is 120/70 My A1C is usually under 6.0 if not always. I am afraid of having a heart attack now and wonder what is next. This makes me think I can't walk or do anything without getting further testing. I feel fine and I am not overweight. I eat a lot of soy products too. I assume it is age and being a diabetic. But am I doomed? My dad died of a massive heart attack at age 52.

I would'nt worry too much about an impending heart attack. Your heart may be just fine even with a high Calcium Score. Calcium Score does not indicate degree of arterial blockage (mine was 1200). After Electrocardiogram and Nuclear Stress Test the cardiologist decided not to do much of anything except get me off the Toprol XL, but you don't have a high blood pressure problem anyway.
