Could this be heart related?? Please help as I'm really worried

Hi, I'm a 30 year old female, pretty healthy and fit (I'd say). Yesterday all of a sudden I experienced a squeezing pain in my heart. It felt like someone was squeezing my heart in their fist and it had a hart time beating, therefore it was painful. This would take place for 3-5 minutes for total of 40 minutes. It was this weird pressure in the left side of my chest.  I wasn't active at that moment, in fact, I was just standing. Towards the night time I felt better but then all of a sudden a felt a sharp (not too intense) pain by my left shoulder blade. I was really scared and thought I might have been having a heart attack  or something. As of right now it has been 24 hours since that incident with the pain. My shoulder blade pain is back, but it comes and goes and it's not too intense. I'm kinda freaking out a bit at this point. Here's some things to consider about me. 1-I have been pretty actively exercising for the past 3-4 weeks. 2-I do occasionally suffer from anxiety. 3-my dad has a heart problems. Any advice or answer would be greatly appreciated.

I think that rather than wonder if you were having a heart attack, you should have gone to the hospital to be sure. Most people lost valuable heart muscle because they just wait to see if the pain goes away. With regards to your question, it would be easy for everyone on here to give a possible cause for your symptoms, but that's just is, they are 'possible'. What you need to know is what the real cause is and this takes tests. A troponin blood test will show if your heart has been under attack and because it has been happening for over 12 hours, they can do this immediately. You also need an ECG. I really wouldn't wait, I would get to your Doctor or the hospital now because time is muscle. It is highly probable that it is nothing to do with your heart, but how will you ever know. Please go and be checked out now.
