i have gtn spray but have never used it. doc thinks i am trying to blot it out. i know it sounds crazy but don't you think sometimes you know your own body and mine is telling me that my heart is ok.
If the doctor feels that the pain is angina, I have to wonder why they didn't start you on any nitrates. I take Isosorbide daily, and NitroQuick when I have an episode of angina or spasm. I do not go anywhere without the NitroQuick. The pain I have with angina or the spasms is a burning ache and could be confused with heartburn. It's just that I have never had any gastric problems, so I know it is angina.
am on aspirin, bisoprolol and simvastatin. previosly had atenolol. if i have angina it is hard to detect. i have episodes of heartburn which doc says are angina attacks. i have just had a thyroid lobectomy. blood levels were borderline high and i had constriction probs, and wonder if that was causing the breathing probs, heartburn and palpitations. doc is stuck in angina mode wheras i feel i never had the problem
Have you been started on any meds for the angina? I went through alot of testing and trial before finding the right meds that calmed the angina down. It is a symptom and not really the disease. The angina was due to decreased blood flow in my case. It is now in check, but can come on from tme to time. Sometimes during stress or exertion.
