Curious Pain in Calf

Curious Pain in Calf

Hello.
I am 27 y/o male who had a catheter ablation procedure done in July for an arrhythmia.   I had no complications or problems after the procedure and have felt fine until recently.  I smoke about 1/2 pack of cigarettes a day, for about 2 years. I smoke a small amount of marijuana daily (less than a gram) and drink a few beers per week. I exercise daily, walking about 4 miles per day. I also am active on weekends, i.e., hiking. My lifestyle is not sedentary, although I do sit for a few hours at a time while at work.
About 4 days ago I began experiencing a dull pain in my right calf without swelling or discoloration. No chest pain or anything else.  It doesn't seem to be bruised and the pain is mild.  It doesn't get worse with exercise, but my calf is still tender to the touch.  I am worried this may be a blood clot. I have made an appointment to see my doctor on Monday, but that's a ways from now. If anyone has any insight or suggestions, please share. Thank you.

With deep vein thrombosis, there is pain in the calf and/or thigh. But, I think it is better that you wait to see your doctor than getting steered in the wrong direction with a lot of opinions . I know the weekend is going to be a long wait, but try not to get too excited until you know for sure.  It may be nothing at all.  Take care, Ally

Yes, the leg pain could be due to blood clot. Other causes of leg pain include inflammatory, orthopedic (musculoskeletal system), neurologic, and vascular (corrugated vessel, plaque).
Does not get worse with exercise almost rules out any vessel blockage or obstruction of blood flow.

Tender to the tough it seems would relate to an orthopedic and/or neuological cause.
Take care and thanks for the question.

I have PAD and when the artery was blocked, it was almost impossible to walk. The pain was a burning ache that started in the back of my thigh and went down the back of my leg. The blockage was in the iliac artery in my stomach. Walkimg made it hurt so bad! But touching my leg didn't make it hurt at all.  So, that should help ease your worry.
