Damaged heart muscle

Are fatigue and exercise intolerance  permanent symptoms of a damaged heart muscle cause by a heart attack?
What are some other symptoms?

thanks in advance

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It needs to be assessed to what extent the pumping capacity of the heart has been affected by the damaged heart muscle. This is reflected by the ejection fraction. If this is good then there is unlikely to be exercise intolerance or fatigue.

The ejection fraction is a useful measure of left ventricular performance. The normal range is 63-77% for males and 55-75% for females. It reflects the pumping capacity of the heart.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
