Diseases arteries

Hi it has been four weeks since my MI and application of one stent. NSTEMI was what I was treated for. Although they said the other arteries were ok, they said they showed slight disease in other arteries. Does this mean they will get progressively worse over time and now I am feeling like a time bomb.

Thanks for any help
Sharon

I am sure that you are taking cholesterol medication, which will help control the buildup.  Also, make sure that you eat right.  Now is the time for lots of fruit and vegetables.  Eat the organic fresh fruits and vegetables.  Red meat is not good as far as heart disease and cancer.  Try to limit or cut out your red meat.  Bake your food.  Make sure meat is skinless, boneless.  If you watch the way you prepare your foods using fresh foods not processed and take your cholesterol medication, you should not have to feel like you are a time bomb.  Lipitor studies have shown that Lipitor actually helps to get rid of some cholesterol already there in the arteries.  Whatever medication your doctor prescribed, take it as your doctor prescribed (that is the important way to keep your heart healthy).
