Dizziness

Could some one please please help me with this question.  I just have been diagnosed with high blood pressure.  I went to the Dr's office twice and my blood pressure would go from 130/80 to 180/100.  Give it that I also have anxiety problems also.  At first the doctor put me on Norvasc 5mg and I constantly felt dizzy 24/7.  The doctor kept on contributing it to anxiety but I never had this issue before the meds.  She took me off of it for a week to see if the dizziness would stop and the dizziness stopped. Then they put me on Verapamil 180mg...no dizziness for 2 months and then boom dizziness came back 24/7.  I have been on 3 different high blood pressure medicine and I am getting 24/7 dizziness. Is this normal?? I can't live like this.  I was so much better before I started taking medications.  Has anyone ever experience this?

dizziness can be caused by many things including a build up of fluid or wax in the inner ear. Lightheadedness is usually due to blood pressure issues. Drugs can and do cause dizziness as well and it is possible that you are building up an intolerance for the drug you are taking. Call your doctor and let her know what's going on.

Continue working with your doctor.  It took some time for me to find the right combination.  The dizziness could be changes in your blood pressure.  This needs to be addressed.  Take care, Ally
