Do I need a cardiologist?

Do I need a cardiologist?

In April 2008 I had two stents put into my heard as a result of 2 arteries being 90 percent blocked. Since then I have had no issues. Three of four stress test all come back normal. I do have hypertension which is being controlled with medication. My wife thinks I need to be under the care of a cardiologist. My PCP says my blood work, stress test history and EKG do not indicate care by a cardiologist. So, do I need a cardiologist?

From my recent experience with my boyfriend I would say yes you need a cardiologist because he went to his PCP on Friday before he was but back in hospital last Monday and they ran a EKG and said everything was normal then come to find out Monday when we got to the hospital he had another artery that was 90 percent blocked so they had to put another stent in. His cardiologist told me that night that if he had run the EKG they might have caught it before it was that bad.
