Do you need to stop taking a beta blocker before getting an Echo done?

by miche35, Nov 07, 2006 12:00AM
I was just wondering if it affects the results of the Echo, since taking the beta blocker reduces the blood flow, lowers the bp and hr too.  ?  Thanks, Michelle

No, your beta blocker won't affect your echo result.

My doctor told me to stop taking my beta blocker for 1 day before the Echo.
